Withdrawn requests do not amount to approval
The FDA lists for GHK-Cu injections and other forms mean different things.

The research for this guide checked FDA medicine approvals on September 30, 2026 and found none for GHK-Cu.
A government list can record an ingredient’s name without approving a medicine made with it.
Read what was withdrawn
The FDA list of withdrawn requests includes GHK-Cu for injection; April 22, 2026 is the page’s stated current date.
The groups that made those requests took them back; that did not give the ingredient FDA permission or approval.
FDA still prints its safety concerns beside the injection entry.
FDA does not give a withdrawal date for that injectable entry.
Read the separate non-injectable category
FDA’s list updated May 14, 2026 returned GHK-Cu for uses other than injections to Category 1, its group for ingredients awaiting review.
This list concerns compounding: making a medicine for a patient or preparing batches at a registered facility.
While reviewing Category 1 ingredients, FDA plans to hold off on taking action against medicine makers who meet its temporary policy’s conditions.
That pause does not approve a product or decide whether making it meets the law.
Ask the pharmacy which rule covers the exact product offered to you and how it meets that rule. Ask for the current FDA entry for its form.
The status question to carry
Ask which record applies to the exact form being proposed.
