Ask · Take a question sheet
Take the unanswered parts into the conversation
A short list is easier to use than a long treatment pitch.

Ask about the proposed product
- What is the exact ingredient, and how would it be used?
- What concern of mine is this meant to address?
- What evidence in people matches that form and purpose?
- What are the other options, including no treatment now?
Ask about the assessment and follow-up
- Who makes the prescribing decision, and where is their licence record?
- What might change the proposal after the assessment?
- If a test or examination is needed, who arranges and reviews it?
- How do later questions reach the person responsible for my care?
Medical-board guidance makes the doctor responsible for arranging needed tests, or sending you for them, to complete an assessment.
Ask for a written quote listing each charge
- What does the visit fee include?
- What would be charged separately?
- Is any payment recurring, prepaid or refundable?
- What happens to the charge if no prescription is issued?
There is no need to read every question aloud. Mark the unanswered ones and ask for plain answers to those.
Leave with the gaps marked
Keep each question beside the answer given, with space for anything still missing.
